When I was young, I remember how I would always find myself lost in the thought of how other people walk. Their pace, their rhythm. I’d check if they walk too fast or too slow, then I’ll try to match my steps with theirs like the kid that I was. I remember I’d always lose the rhythm after a short while and realize I couldn’t keep up because I have my own pace—that everyone else does.

I am still young, the title doesn’t signify the emotion.

Years passed and it still rings true. It’s never about who gets there first. It’s never about getting there gracefully and without your share of scars. It’s about growing throughout the journey, about finding your purpose, contentment and happiness in what little things life has allowed you to have. It’s about wanting more but also acknowledging the fact that what you have is enough.

When you finally get there, I hope that you take the time to look back and break a smile, realizing how every step of the way was just as beautiful and rewarding as the destination.
